A middle-aged man, Andreas finds himself in a strange city by an unusual accident, where at first glance it is an absolute idyll. The word “problem” is completely foreign to the inhabitants of the city, each of them is employed and quite wealthy, and the streets are enviably clean and amazingly calm.
Andreas is hired and actively involved in public life. At work, engages in a romance and his new friend asks him to move in with her. His immediate supervisor is always ready to help in case of any problems. It was as if Andreas had hit the ideal place for an ideal life and had to become part of that ideal society.
But he does not like it all, on the contrary, he is irritated and tries to escape from this sterile world, where emotion is absorbed by amenities.
A distinctive example of Scandinavian authorial cinema, where the futility and loss of emotion of modern secured society is shown in a very interesting way and angle.
