Summer of Paris. The beginning of the holiday season. Insurance agent Antoine can’t wait to meet with his wife Hélène. By the time she arrives, Antoine manages to drink three mugs of beer. They travel by car to the south of France to pick up their children. Unfortunately, there is high traffic on the road. To calm his nerves, Antoine occasionally stops to drink. Driving his car under the influence of alcohol is becoming more and more chaotic. An argument ensues between him and Hélène, and Hélène leaves the car to continue the road by the train. Antoine tries to catch up with her, but unsuccessfully so instead of his wife, a strange passenger gets in the car with him. He has no idea what impact this meeting will have on him and Hélène…
An intriguing French thriller with a peculiar rhythm with Claude Debussy’s concert music in the background that makes the film even more atmospheric.
