Season One – Young and attractive Christine works for an influential law firm in Chicago. She is very ambitious and erudite, so when the chance arises to test her own abilities and earn extra income, she does not shy away from it.
A colleague tells her about elite escort girls. They are somewhat like Japanese “Geisha” and the purpose of their meetings with wealthy clients is not only physical intimacy but also intellectual conversations and the illusion of spiritual intimacy. Enthusiastic Christine realizes that money does not interest her as much as the feeling of influence over influential businessmen, officials, and politicians.
The theme in Season 2 is the same, only the characters are not related to Season 1 and tells two different stories.
The series is based on the film of the same name by Steven Soderbergh, who is also the producer of this project. The acting of Riley Keough, the granddaughter of Elvis Presley in the first season, deserves special mention.
