Detective Nick Tellis, who has been sidelined since the tragic arrest of a drug dealer, has a chance to return to work. The case of the brutal murder of a policeman, an undercover narcotics officer is progressing very slowly, so the leadership instructs Nick, to investigate the case with Lt. Oak a policeman with temper. They try to investigate how the agent was killed, who arranged his murder, and the further they go, the more difficult it becomes and also they find more and more about their own “skeletons locked in the closet.”
An intriguing plotline, well-crafted characters, and an unexpected ending – the action scenes in this low-budget police drama by Joe Carnahan are not as much as dialogues and dramatic episodes, however, this doesn’t make the film any less interesting and tense.
