From the first minutes of the film, we get an idea of the personality of Sergeant Gerry Boyle, for whom prostitutes, drinking and funny jokes are the main entertainment. He is an eccentric “bad” policeman who drinks beer like it’s mineral water and also doesn’t shy away from drugs, but in his heart, he is a decent man, ready to do good deeds. He will be given a chance to do this when a federal investigation agent appears in the city and asks him to help arrest an international drug dealer gang.
A brilliant crime comedy with an interesting plot and directorial debut of John Michael McDonagh based on his own script.
