Ghost World

Enid and Rebecca are friends from school who prefer to stand apart from their classmates and do not shy away from various forms of ridicule towards them. The school period is over and the happy friends do not even realize that another phase of life has begun and continue to criticize the people around them at the same pace. Once the girls decide to prank Seymour. But after a while, Enid realizes how attractive this modest and lonely man is. The closer he gets to Seymour, the further he gets away from Rebecca …

We know how to live in the modern world, we are adapted to such a life. We go to study or work, we buy products in the supermarket, we eat in restaurants, we watch TV. But sometimes we have questions: What do I do? Why am I doing this? Why am I here at all? Where is my place? And at this point, it would be nice to see a bus that would take us to another world. But a few minutes and it all passes, we return to normal life again. But what can those people do who do not get used to the reality? Get used to this life, adapt, fight or just leave? Maybe you just believe and look for people who understand and love you? In this way screenwriter and director, Terry Zwigoff asks questions about a number of essential issues in the film, and for such formulation his screenplay was nominated for a 2002 Oscar.
