Scandinavian detective thriller against the backdrop of the snow-covered streets of Helsinki.
In the center of the series is a charming detective woman – Sofia Karppi. The tragic incident that happened a little while ago (she lost her husband and two children) does not allow her to rest and lead a normal life. However, working in the Helsinki Police Crime Department and engaging whole-mindedly in investigation partly helps her to normalize her life.
At this point in the department comes a novice enthusiast- Sakari Nurmi, who previously worked in the financial machinations department. He becomes the assistant of Karppi. Their very first case – the disappearance of a girl – does not seem so simple and will soon turn into an intertwined cycle of crimes …
